I don't know what it is, but every once in a while I feel the need to pick up my needles and get at it. Right now I think it's a combination of the cold weather, a desire to start cutting into my stash (yarn and fabric), and various bloggers talking about their own knitting projects...
Do you have a yarn ball winder? I just love mine, although I feel guilty enjoying it since I inherited it from Gramma. I'd much rather have my Gramma back as opposed to the ball winder. But the winder makes winding two strands together so much easier... as long as I put them into neat balls first, otherwise, this happens.
I'm knitting myself a cowl with this yarn my sister sent from Pennsylvania. Hopefully I actually finish it so I can show it to you, sometimes I lose interest in knitting as it tends to be a little less "instant gratification" than other crafts.
On a related note, I've joined Ravelry and would love to have some new connections there. Not that I've posted any projects yet!
I've put my needles away for the Summer here, but can't wait to get into it again. My nana had a yarn winder like that one too.
